Betty Straker (nee Walton) sadly passed away April 21st 1996 from a short illness. She left behind husband Tommy, 2 daughters Sharon and Michelle, who sadly passed away when she was a baby, 2 sons Tommy and Malcolm, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Betty worked as a cleaner at Longbenton High School for many years. She was a kind and thoughtful person, who would never let you down. Betty had many friends and was close to her 2 sisters Gwen and Hilda, and her brother John. R.I.P Bettyxxxx

Dont Go Mad Nana!!!
Hi nana, its Michelle. Dont go mad but I have had my hair cut short. It was a spur of the moment thing for me. Mam and dad think I look alot older. If you were here you wouldve probably have said "what have you done to your hair? Or it will be "wait until I see your dad!!". I know deep down you wouldve liked it. I am in my last year at school now. Havent decided what to do when I leave. Well I will say goodbye for now nana. Miss you loads and love you lots.
